As a Paw Angels adopter, I agree to the following guidelines, and I further state the information. I provided on my application is true to the best of my knowledge. I understand that falsifying my application, not notifying Paw Angels, Inc. of changes in my circumstances or not following the guidelines below will disqualify me from the adoption program. I understand that if I can no longer care for the dog, I will relinquish the dog at any time Paw Angels request the dog be returned. I understand that I have no right to and cannot re-foster, rehome, sell, or trade the dog. I understand that I am taking a rescue dog into my home at my own risk. Paw Angels is not responsible for damages to person, property, or medical costs if persons or personal animals are injured. Type your initials.
- Adopters are required to crate a new foster dog for the first 12 hours unless on a leash. After this time, adopters are encouraged to crate new dog around other animals in the home for several days to a week to allow all animals to adjust to the new situation. This allows the dog decompression time and safety for the dog and personal dogs. The dog and personal dog should not be introduced to each other until they have had sufficient time to adjust from the safety of the crate. *This guideline is critical and must be faithfully followed to increase the chances of a successful foster/adoption!* - Introductions to personal dogs must be done on a leash for the first 2 interactions and only then let them off leash if the dogs get along well. - Adopters need to understand any medications a dog may need and be able to administer. - I will notify Paw Angels Inc., to update how my newly adopted dog is settling in and any problems that arise. I will immediately notify Paw Angels if a problem arises that I cannot keep my dog, and I agree and acknowledge that Paw Angels will need at least 24 hours to find a new placement and remove the dog. - If the new dog or my personal dog become a safety issue, Paw Angels needs to immediately be notified, and the dog crated until Paw Angels can pick up the dog. - You agree to provide nutritious food and clean water and proper and clean bedding at all times. Paw Angels Inc., will provide these items if needed. - Adopters agree to safely contain their new dog at all times. Dogs should not be allowed outside unsupervised unless in an approved fenced in yard that has been checked by Paw Angels Inc. Adopters will never allow a dog to roam free nor stay with anyone not approved by Paw Angels. Adopters agree not to chain or tether a dog outside. - All Paw Angels shall stay inside a residence. This rule reflects, among other things, concerns for the safety of the dog and the unpredictable temperatures outside. No Paw Angels dog should be kept outside full-time unless a specific arrangement has been agreed to in writing by Paw Angels. - No Paw Angels dog shall be altered in any way other than by spay or neuter. No tails or ears shall be docked ect. If an alteration becomes medically necessary for the life or health of the dog, then Paw Angels needs to be notified so it can consult on the matter. - The undersigned adopter agrees and acknowledges that he/she is taking a rescue dog; that the adopter takes full responsibility for the safety and welfare of the dog; that the adopter takes full responsibility for the dog's actions and any issues or liabilities that occur. - The undersigned adoption agrees and acknowledges that Paw Angels can have limited knowledge of this dog and can tell the adopter only what we have observed of the dog in our care or what information, if any, that the shelter may have given Paw Angels. If there is specific information, we have regarding any incidents involving this specific dog, list that information here and the foster must type their initials afterwards.
Should the adopter breach any of the agreements contained in this agreement form or be found to have misrepresented any facts to Paw Angels to obtain the dog, Paw Angels shall have the right to rescind this contract and demand return of the dog. Should the adopter fail to return the dog, Paw Angels, may, at its option, (a) peacefully enter the property to take possession of the dog or (b) seek an order from a court of competent jurisdiction for return of the dog and payment of damages and attorney's fees, and Paw Angels will retain any sum paid for the dog pursuant to this agreement. The undersigned adopter hereby agrees to release, indemnify, and covenant to hold harmless Paw Angels, Inc its officers, members, agents, volunteers, and other representatives, from any claims, damages, injuries, costs, or actions incurred as a result of this adoption agreement or caused by the rescue dog. I indemnify and hold Paw Angels Inc, free and harmless from all liability arising out of any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, action, judgement of every kind and description which may occur to or be suffered by me, members of my household, my own animals or any third parties by reason of activities arising out of this agreement. I release Paw Angels Inc from responsibility for any diseases that may be contracted by my resident animal(s) from the rescue animal. Please type your name as a signature.
